最近把 vSphere 5.5 更新到 7.0，前面已經陸續發表過不少文章，這篇算是個整理，這樣對整個升級流程會比較清楚一點，整個升級程序如下：
1. vCSA 5.5 U3y -> vCSA 6.0 U3i。
2. ESXi 5.5 U3b -> ESXi 6.0 U2。
3. vCSA 6.0 U3i -> vCSA 6.5 U3f。
4. ESXi 6.0 U3f -> ESXi 6.5 U2。
5. vCSA 6.5 -> vCSA 7.0 U1。
6. ESXi 6.5 U2 -> ESXi 6.5 U3。
7. ESXi 6.5 U3 -> ESXi 7.0 U1。
The above upgrade order and version selection，is planned with reference to several VMware KB articles，Relevant information can be found in the 'References' section at the bottom of this article。Additionally, if during the upgrade process，the existing ESXi or vCenter becomes corrupted due to driver conflicts or other factors and you plan to reinstall，you can refer to the following two articles：

During the upgrade process，由於橫跨三個大版本，如果有 VMware Licence Key 的升降級需求，可參考下面這篇 KB。

升級完成後，建議要升級 VMware Tools，讓 vSphere 對 VM 的各項監視與管理功能繼續維持正常運行；而 VM 的硬體版本，則不一定要升級，只有在使用到新硬體相容性的相關功能時才需要升級。若要兩者都要升，建議先升級 VMware Tools，再升級硬體版本。
