這兩天處理一台NB，把Windows降到XP來使用，安裝的過程發生過數次自動關機，研判應是溫度過高導致，這顆CPU在當年算是蠻高階的，所散發的熱也不容小覷。
在安裝完windows後，相關的driver也裝上，CPU開始不會胡亂飆速，也沒再發生關機的情形，但有幾次登入時，卻出現藍底白字，由於出現的時間不到一秒，根本看不到錯誤內容，但隱約可以看到跟Pxxx.sys這個檔有關，在windows紀錄也找不到錯誤報告的情形下，想到有印象很久以前有個工具可以查看windows的dump檔(錯誤紀錄)，隨即上網搜尋。
當年的工具我已經忘了叫啥，這回姑狗到的是BlueScreenView這個由Nirsoft提供的小工具，Nirsoft提供的實用工具實在有夠多，光是我用過的就不止一個了。回到正題，BlueScreenView蠻友善的，開啟預設就會去抓"c:\windows\MiniDump"底下的dump檔，Click the relevant dump，and it will show all the information。
I checked my dump file，sure enough, it was all related to portcls.sys，I initially suspected it might be a conflict with the audio driver，because the blue screen with white text seemed to appear right when preparing to play the login music，With the keyword，it became easier to debug later。
