MDaemon是一个好用且稳定的邮件服务器，公司从Exchange改成MDaemon后，也没遇到过什么大问题，MDaemon功能虽然不如Exchange强大，但对于绝大多数的需求也是足够用了。MDaemon还有一个很棒的地方是所有设置都以文本明码方式记录，因此當有部份特殊需求時，對於管理人員來說很方便，Perhaps some people might think this could be a safety issue，but in terms of convenience，确实是很棒的。
MDaemon有個奇怪的機制，如果使用pop3收信，同時間同個帳號只能有一個裝置接收，因此像公司如果有人同時使用PC、NB或是手機透過pop3收信時，就常會出現"-ERR maildrop already locked"的錯誤訊息。去台灣的MDaemon論壇查，有人反應，但沒有結果，自己研究過後，總算找到解決之道。
MDaemon目錄底下有個LockFiles資料夾，當有帳號透過pop3在收信時，此目錄會產生一個檔名為"pop-mail帳號.lck"的檔案，當接收完畢，此檔案即會消失，在此檔案消失前，若有其他裝置又對於同的帳號進行接收動作，即會出現"-ERR maildrop already locked"錯誤訊息。
一開始想說，I just need to prevent MDaemon from creating .lck files in this directory。After changing the security settings，It did solve the issue of simultaneously receiving POP3，But the webmail part had problems instead，After logging into the web，I can't see any emails in the mailbox。Later，Change the security setting to allow creation，but not reading，this solves all the problems。
