All along, I have been using Sky Tribe's 'popularity index' and Google Analytics to observe visitor traffic，Some time ago, I noticed a significant discrepancy in the traffic recorded by the two，At first, I thought maybe Google Analytics misjudged something，But when I pulled up the detailed data to look，確確實實的有每筆訪客的紀錄，因此也不知道問題出在哪。
隔幾天後，在瀏覽天空部落官方部落格時，看到一則去年8月的計數器公告說明，其中提到：
| "…看單篇文章時，只有文章的單篇人氣會增加，今日人氣和總人氣不會增加（因為已經拜訪過他的部落格了，您本來就在他部落格上了）。」 |
做了幾個簡單的測試，結果確實如公告所述，But this will give rise to a problem，What about users who access the article through search engines? Not only that，Clicking on article topics through subscriptions，Will not be counted in the headcount either，In other words, as long as users do not click on the 'homepage'，They will not be counted by the counter，This setting seems to be rather unreasonable。
部落格一般超過八成以上的流量都來自於主題點閱的檢視方式（包含搜尋引擎、主題推薦與訂閱等），如此設定方式將會與實際流量有很大的出入。就以我這小小的役言堂來說好了，天空計數器跟Google Analytics的每日訪客，就差了將近一倍。
前幾天有發了封mail向天空反應，但到目前为止尚未收到回应。当前的做法是另外安装一组由Site States提供的计数器服务，未來應該會拿掉天空的計數器，除了準確性問題外，有時在讀取計數器的時候會卡住，造成網誌開啟速度變慢，況且關掉之後，還是可以透過「人氣」的地方查看。
